Hotel Romantik Eger

A cozy stay with friendly service

The location offered easy access to Eger's pedestrian zone, and we enjoyed the lovely garden view at breakfast. Especially Szolt, were helpful.

Really nice overall experience. Great-sized room and a safe box, a mini bar, and central heating inside. Exceptionally comfortable bed & welcoming service. Location next to bus station, local sites, and a nice quite garden. Also, close to the center.

This hotel is well located, very close to the walking street and minutes from Dobo ter. It has a beautiful garden and the rooms to the back don't hear the noise of the street. The best rooms are on the 2nd floor with no lift (50 stairs!), this is less convenient for people with walking disability! Safe parking!

The breakfast selection was fresh and high quality.

I experienced multiple issues with the room. The toilet flush was slow, and the shower was broken. The wifi was spotty, constantly disconnecting, difficult for me to work. The maintenance of the room felt neglected, and that left me disappointed.

Our stay at the Romantik could not have been more enjoyable. The owner and staff are terriic with guests -- friendly, good senses of humor, and very accomodating. They also gave excellent recommendations on places to go, including some advice for what turned out to be some of the best restaurants we visited in Hungary. An all round find!

We came home at midnight and we found our room full of ants. The woman suggested us a spray anti ants! We replied absolutely we don’t sleep in a room full of spray and died ants!!! At this point she gave us another room. The day after, the 5th of April, the guy at the reception during the check out didn't say anything, so apologize, no sorry, nothing!!! I ask him: do you know what's happened? "Yes I know what the problem is?" And he had the courageous to ask if we will come back!!!

Rooms comfortable with a lovely garden view.

Extremely pleasant rooms with facilities like central heating, a safe and multi-channel TV. Lots of great food. Incredible location when traveling to Eger.

The location is good. Eger is not big, you can reach the main attractions easily on foot from the hotel. It's also within the walking distance to the bus station where you get frequent bus between Eger and Budapest every half an hour. Btw, the bus is clean and offers wireless Internet. The room has the basic facilities and clean. The wireless internet works well. There is no iron in the room, but we easily borrowed one from the staff, in general, they are quite friendly.

The window is very small, maybe only in our room, I'm not sure. There is no lift, therefore, it might be inconvenient for those who travel with heavy baggage or with certain difficulties. The breakfast is very very poor. There is no fruit at all and the yogurt does not taste fresh.

The breakfast room with a garden view was a highlight. Fresh air and beautiful surroundings made mornings special. Room felt cozy, with charming decor. Location is fantastic, just a short stroll to the central Eger area. Had issues with room size. It felt cramped for two people. Lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable during the heat. Noisy fan didn't help at all. Breakfast quality dropped this time-bread and cold cuts weren't fresh.

It's comfortable enought with all necessary facilities to have a rest after going sightseeing

The reception staff spoke good English and were very friendly and accomodating.

The breakfast was a highlight with a great variety, and the cozy atmosphere made my short break even better than expected. It's great location just a short walk to central eger.

Very good position: just 100 m from the city-centre. Good atmosphere and design. Breakfast is excellent and can be done in the garden. Rooms are very comfortable, efficient air-con. Internal and safe car-park (free).
